raising funds for ukraine with tiny original paintings
I am sure I am not the only artist who sometimes feels like they are not really helping people. Not like a surgeon does, not like a human rights lawyer does, not like many other professionals who dedicate their lives to saving lives. This was my way (and many other artists’ way) of offering my skills to hopefully help a cause I support- the freedom of the Ukrainian people. When we truly believe nothing we do can make an impact it leads us to inaction, and that is something I am very guilty of quite frequently.
I painted 4 original mini illustrations and put them in vintage frames to raise funds for @novaukraine
They are:
🌟A tiny cottage to make you feel safe (7x9cm) (£25)
🌟Two white doves with olive branches to represent peace (9x9cm) (£30 each)
🌟And of course, the beautiful Ukrainian national flower 🌻 (5.5x7.5cm) (£25)
I used acrylic gouache on 300gsm cotton paper.
The cost of each miniature painting includes the frame and the shipping, but you can donate more if you want!
100% of the sales will be donated to @novaukraine and I will share proof of the donations.
Thank you ♥️
Thanks to the lovely people who purchased these and helped the cause. As I am writing this post, it’s been more than a year since the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. My heart goes to all the Ukrainians and anyone who has been affected. Please, keep supporting Ukrainian artists and listening to Ukrainian voices- they still need us.
